Between work, errands, and other obligations, it can be hard to find time to spend
with your pooch.
Here at PoochIQ.com, we understand that a lot of dogs can end up feeling
lonely, bored, and can even get downright destructive when their owners are away.
That's why we've decided to test a new program designed to keep your pooch
entertained and feeling like a part of a community, even when you can't be there.
The new program is called The Lonely Pooch Club, and it works like this:
REQUIREMENTS
- Landline with speakerphone
OR
- Computer with speakers and a microphone (mic is optional)
HOW IT WORKS
- Sign up for The Lonely Pooch Club
- Dial into the toll-free phone number we give you (either via phone or computer)
- Join a conference call with other pups all over the world
Once you join the conference call, simply turn on your speakerphone and walk away.
Your pup will be able to communicate with all the other dogs connected to the network
and remain entertained for hours.
Right now, we're in the testing phase for the program. If it sounds like something
you'd be interested in, simply sign up and we'll email you with instructions on how
to get started. Signing up and using The Lonely Pooch Club during this test phase is
completely FREE (no credit card required). Eventually, we plan to charge a nominal
per-minute rate to use the service.
FAQ
1. How much does it cost to be a part of The Lonely Pooch Club?
During our test phase, it's completely FREE and you don't need a credit card to
sign up. Later, we plan to charge a nominal per-minute fee to be a part of the
club.
2. What if I don't want my phone line to be tied up all day?
If you have voicemail on your phone line, any calls that come in while your pooch
is on the line should go to voicemail anyway, so you won't miss any of your message.
However, if you only have one phone line and an answering machine, you probably don't
want to miss any messages your callers may want to leave. In this case, we suggest
using your computer equipped with speakers and a microphone to call into The Lonely
Pooch Club. When you sign up, we'll explain to you how to download software that will
let you dial into the club totally free.
3. Will The Lonely Pooch Club really be comforting for my dog?
Different dogs react in different ways to the sounds of other dogs on the phone line.
Some completely ignore the sounds, while others will stand by the phone with ears
perked up and make their contribution to the conversation. It really just depends
on your pup's personality. But since it's completely free, you can try it out and
see if it's right for your pooch risk-free.
